Born in 1942 in Oxford, England, he made some remarkable discoveries and published his findings in books and magazines. Stephen received lots of awards and medals and was a member of many Royal Societies. He was highly educated and had twelve honorary degrees. He even held the position of Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University, a position once held by Sir Isaac Newton! He achieved all of these amazing things even though he developed motor neuron disease in 1963, used a wheelchair and couldn&rsquo;t speak without the help of a computer.</p> <p>When talking about his illness, Stephen said he never let it stop him from following his dreams. Stephen died at the age of 76 on 14th March, 2018.
