<p><strong>Phương pháp giải:</strong></p>
<p>- Chúng ta sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn để nói về thói quen hoặc những việc chúng ta làm thường xuyên.</p>
<p><strong>Ví dụ:</strong> My mother <strong>cooks</strong> every day.</p>
<p>- Chúng ta sử dụng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn để nói về sự việc đang xảy tại thời điểm nói.</p>
<p><strong>Ví dụ:</strong> My mother isn't cooking now. She's working in her office.</p>
<p><strong>Chú ý:</strong> Chúng ta không sử dụng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn với những động từ tình thái như <em>like, love, need, want know, agree,</em> etc.</p>

<p><strong>1. I'm wanting => I want</strong></p>
<p>I'm writing to you to tell you how much I <strong>want</strong> to see you.</p>
<p><strong>2. look => am looking</strong></p>
<p>Jack is away on business, so now I <strong>am looking</strong> after his dog.</p>
<p><strong>3. Nam's often looking => Nam often looks</strong></p>
<p>Nam <strong>often looks</strong> untidy.</p>
<p><strong>4. cooks => is cooking</strong></p>
<p>She can't answer the phone now. She <strong>is cooking</strong> dinner.</p>
<p><strong>5. do you read => are you reading</strong></p>
<p>Excuse me, <strong>are you reading</strong> the newspaper? Could I borrow it?</p>
<p><strong>6. are your family doing => do your family do</strong></p>
<p>What <strong>do your family do</strong> in the evenings?</p>
